According to the US Treasury the thickness of the standard US one dollar ($1) bill is approximately 0.0043" (inches).
Our government wants to spend an estimated $790,000,000,000 (billion with a big B) to cover our current financial problems.
Now do the math:
(790,000,000,000 x 0.0043) = 3397000000 inches or 283083333 feet or 53614 miles of $1 bills layed face-to-face.
That's 2.14 trips around the equator with a stack of $1 bills! That's a lot of green backs.
